I close my eyes and glance out my window,
I stand on the verge of reason, then I begin to stare,
Through an undrawn curtain, I see the skies,
Beauty seizes me in a cocktail of terror,
My veins surge.
Life begins to move, to flutter,
A mirage of red and black assault the sun,
the world vibrates with suspense,
Ripples shift the lake,
Dawn breaks as the night has only begun,
but the stars smile on the day,
The sparrow sleeps as the owl does call,
The night breeze comes, reflected on the wind,
How can one not say: Life is all but perspective (e),
The skies are blue, the clouds are white,
Now open your eyes and see!
